T.D. Lazar, founder, senior pastor, prophet, prayer warrior, evangelist, mentor, teacher and an apostle. Born on 2.5.1958 accepted Christ at the age of 16, started street preaching at the age of 17 with signs and wonders started evangelism and church growth as a convention speaker at the age of 19.
Multitudes were added to the churches daily through his anointed preaching. Became associate pastor and co-pastor of a slum church where others refused to go. Served as a typist in the University of Madras from 1977 to 1989 until he heard the call of God for the full time. For which he immediately obeyed by resigning his job at the age of 32.
His church planting ministry began with great apostolic zeal and vision in a small class room with his wife and two small kids. One of his friend joined with for the first service. That was the humble beginning of the movement of God in his life. His faithfulness to God and the ministry has seen God prospering in him to greater church planting and church growth throughout Chennai city. He has travelled to 25 nations for the gospel and kingdom cause.
Today he pastor’s one of Chennai’ biggest and fast growing congregation which has now five services on Sundays commences from 5.45 a.m. 8 a.m. 11 a.m. 5 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. numbering to 2000 plus, besides daily church meetings. He has pioneered 10 branch churches in the city of Chennai in areas among the downtrodden, outcast, poor, alcoholics and drug addicts and prostitutes. Besides that 5 other churches in villages and rural areas where there are no other churches. He loves to be a pioneer in church planting.
He has great passion and compassion to support the homeless and poor street children with education, clothing and sheltering. With free will offerings from individuals, churches or like minded organizations.
He is married to a Godly woman who is anointed for dynamic prayer life and women’ ministry. Together they have two daughters and one son. The daughters are married to Godly men who are also in the ministry; they are blessed with three grandchildren.
